Photography tips to ensure a great critter image

1) Use natural light and try and avoid shadows especially on the face.

2) Get down to their level.

3) Think about your relationship and try and capture those feelings.

4) When in doubt, focus on the eyes. This is particularly important if you have decided to purchase a 6×6 smaller size.

5) If you have decided to purchase an 8×10 size or larger, add in some of the body for depth and content.

6) If you have decided to have two pets in one very fun portrait, think about the relationship between the two. How do they feel about each other?
